We warmly invite you to join us here in Värmland, a place where we’ve set our sights on enjoying a bright, prosperous future.
Our clinic, located at Torsby Hospital, is part of Adult Psychiatry in Värmland and primarily serves residents of the Sunne and Torsby municipalities.
The team includes psychologists, psychiatric nurses, social workers, an occupational therapist, and medical secretaries. We also offer mobile services, which improve accessibility and flexibility for our patients. We regularly welcome students and trainees – such as resident doctors, psychologist interns, and nursing students – contributing to a dynamic and learning-oriented environment.
Your future colleagues are a positive and cooperative group who value respect, openness, and good humour. Together, we aim to develop our services in a sustainable and innovative way. We are currently expanding our digital care services, combining them with traditional in-person consultations. We prioritise both patient safety and staff wellbeing, and we share a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care while maintaining a healthy work–life balance.

As a specialist doctor in psychiatry, you will be responsible for the assessment, investigation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients, working closely with other professionals in the team. Collaboration with other healthcare providers and external stakeholders, such as public authorities and social services, is also an important part of the role. Our patients primarily include individuals with severe mental illness, but we also see a wide range of cases to assess, confirm, or exclude the need for specialist psychiatric care.

You are a specialist in psychiatry. Experience in psychiatric outpatient care, addiction services, or insurance medicine is an advantage. A category B driving licence is required, as some travel may be part of the role. Good communication skills in English are needed, and Swedish language training will be supported if required.
You are confident and self-aware in your professional role, with a collaborative mindset and clear communication style. You contribute positively to the work environment and are motivated by continuous learning and improvement. You have a solid foundation in psychiatric expertise and stay up to date in your field. We provide a welcoming and supportive work environment with opportunities for professional development and further education. Flexible working arrangements and a focus on work–life balance are central to our culture. You will also have the chance to contribute to the development of digital and innovative care solutions.
